Replacement Critical Access Hospital About to Break Ground
Bids for General Contractors are being tabulated and interviews conducted for a replacement hospital in Borger, Texas, scheduled to break ground in 2010. The Hutchinson County Hospital District has annexed 20 acres of land to the City to be completely developed for the new medical center. The City of Borger has requested the major drive running through the property be designated as a City street.
This critical access hospital will have an Obstetrics department that currently services a 6-county area in the Panhandle of Texas. Combined with the medical/surgical patient care areas and the expanded outpatient services, the community anticipates obtaining additional physician interest.
